Godfrey's Pond Conservation Kids

Godfrey's Pond Conservation Kids will be held approximately every two weeks during the camping season (May - October). Watch this site and our facebook page for locations and time as it will depend on availability and weather. Whenever possible we will schedule for dry weather, however everything we do will be outside so it may not be possible.

Parents are encouraged to stay with their children for sessions but it is not required. As parents (and grandparents) ourselves, the Conservation Committee understands the need for some "kid free" time.

With our 2025 Schedule we will begin by learning what conservation means and an overview of things to start with. After our discussion (about an hour) we will take a walk around the trout pond to observe and brainstorm ways to be good conservationists.

Our mission

It is our goal to teach children all about nature so they are well equiped to be good stewards to not only the pond but our entire planet. Conservation is the wise use of natural resources. In order to make wise use of our natural resources, children need to understand our resources, how they work together and our impact on those resources.

Godfreys Pond Privacy Policy

The Genesee County Fish & Game Assoc., incorporated in the State of New York in 1909 as a not for profit conservation club, collects certain information from it's members in order to develop and maintain it's data base. It is maintained in digital form on a secure computer by the Financial Secretary. It may not be copied or used for any uses not officially authorized by the Executive Board of Directors. In no instance will this information be given, sold, or shared with any entity beyond a confidential member list for use by organizational authorities or in co-operation with law enforcement under court order.
